CLIFTON COURT LAURENZ. (1998 - 2016)
Laurenz was bred and trained by Sue from the start. He reached Grand Prix dressage level and won his fair share of events.

Sue Nevett was born Sue Wood and she started riding at age 9 for Eltham Pony Club (PC) and completing her PC level A certificate. As a rather tall person, Sue graduated through six horses until finishing with a TB cross which won most dressage competitions in PC and open EA Elementary even against Miss K!

Sue also had a well-known, little event horse at PC called "Mellool" who was very famous in his time, winning several PC eventing championships and enabling Sue to be selected to represent Australia in the 1975 Inter Pacific team in the USA. She successfully evented in open EA, now 3* competitions for many years before getting married to John and moving to Buninyong.

After a short break and bringing up three boys, Sue focused on pure dressage bringing her two horses CC Laurenz & AB Donasoma up to Grand Prix level with the assistance of Jose & Manolo Mendez, Gitte Donvig, Brett Parberry, Mary Hanna.

Sue is an active coach having moved from Level 1 EA general to Pony Club level 1 with her home club Ballarat PC. She supports the requirements in the pony club certificates endorsed by E.S.I and the scientific findings of horse behaviour and learning.

Sue is an EA level B Dressage Judge (Prix St George/Inter.1) and is an FEI eventing Dressage Judge and Ground Juror. This takes her to 1 and 3 day events (International CCI’s) around Australia, including Wandin, Ballarat, Naracoorte, Melbourne 3de, Fig tree pocket Qld. and Warwick Qld later this year.

Sue is passionate in establishing the basics of training horses in whatever discipline the rider/horse is keen to follow, from beginners through to advanced riders. She also finds pole and gridwork beneficial for all riders.

Sue is a highly regarded and very experienced FEI judge and coach! We are excited about having her visit Euroa Horse Park for a two day Competition Practice Clinic (dressage and showjumping) on the 16th and 17th of September 2023.

PLEASE NOTE: To get the most out of these days, (especially if you get anxious) you are encouraged to plait and dress as if you're at a competition.
